Set off on a journey through the castles, walls and historic towns of the Alentejo, where each stop tells a different chapter of Portugal’s history. From Evoramonte to Estremoz, via Vila Viçosa and ending in extraordinary Monsaraz, this route brings together heritage, architecture, scenery and charming small towns full of character. A perfect tour for anyone who loves history, photography and truly Portuguese landscapes. This is a private experience, with pickup and drop-off in the Lisbon area and a driver-guide who speaks Portuguese or English. The tour lasts approximately 10 hours and can be adapted to your group’s pace and priorities, opening hours and traffic conditions. Optional indoor visits, wine tastings, meals and boat trips are subject to availability and are paid for separately. The ginjinha tasting mentioned in the itinerary is included. Please arrange your preferred visits in advance so the necessary tickets and reservations can be organized. Pickup is from your hotel, accommodation or a pre-agreed location in Lisbon; please be ready 15 minutes before the start time. On the return journey, you may be dropped off at a different location in the Lisbon area by arrangement with the driver.
