Leave Lisbon for a private day combining the spirituality of Fátima, Templar history and the scenery of the Tagus River. Pick-up is from your hotel or accommodation at a time and place agreed in advance, so you can travel at your group's own pace. In Fátima, discover the Sanctuary, the Chapel of the Apparitions and the basilicas, with time to take in the atmosphere of this important pilgrimage destination. Depending on the pace of the visit, you may also explore Aljustrel and Valinhos, associated with the story of the three shepherd children. Continue to Tomar for a stroll through the historic centre and to discover the Templar heritage of the castle and the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visiting the inside of the convent is optional, and admission is not included. The route continues to Almourol Castle, set on an island in the Tagus. Admire the fortress and surrounding scenery, with the option of crossing by boat when the service is operating and river conditions allow. The ticket and boat crossing are paid separately. The experience lasts approximately 9 to 10 hours, including travel time. On the return, finish at a location in Lisbon agreed with the driver. Meals, entrance fees and personal expenses are not included; the order of stops may be adjusted to opening hours and traffic.
