Discover Évora and Arraiolos on a private 10- to 12-hour experience combining heritage, wine and Alentejo’s artisan traditions. With pickup from your hotel, accommodation or a Lisbon location agreed in advance, travel with a driver-guide who speaks Portuguese or English and enjoy the flexibility to tailor the itinerary to your group’s preferences. Please be ready 15 minutes before departure. In Évora, explore the historic center and see the Roman Temple, Giraldo Square and the Sé Cathedral. The Chapel of Bones and paid areas of the monuments can be included in the visit with a ticket, at an additional cost. At Cartuxa, at Quinta de Valbom, you can learn about Alentejo’s wine-making tradition on an optional winery tour and tasting, subject to reservation, availability and an additional fee. The ginjinha offered during the experience is included and is separate from the winery tasting. Continue to Arraiolos to discover its medieval castle and tradition of hand-embroidered rugs. The Rug Interpretation Center offers insight into this local craft, subject to opening hours and a separate admission fee where applicable. On the way back, stop in Vendas Novas, where you can try the traditional bifanas at your own expense. End at your hotel, a restaurant or another location in the Lisbon area agreed with the driver. The price includes private round-trip transportation, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, water, coffee or tea, parking, fuel, tolls and a ginjinha tasting.
